SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: This year we are bringing in a licensed counselor and a pastor’s wife with a counseling degree, who will be offering FREE private counseling sessions to our pastors’ wives who attend the retreat. Sign up will be first come, first served at the time of check in on October 3rd.

Kim Shadday grew up in Northern Indiana in a Christian home and accepted Christ as a young girl. After graduating from high school, she moved to Indianapolis and attended IUPUI, receiving a Bachelor degree in Social Work in 1995. She and her husband, Shawn, have been faithful and active members and servants of Crosspointe Baptist Church for over 20 years. Kim stayed at home to raise their two sons, and was led by the Lord to pursue a ministry in counseling once their children were both in school. After almost two years of training, she received her certification for Biblical Counseling from ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors), formerly known as NANC, in April 2011. Kim currently serves as a Biblical Counselor for women and young ladies in the TurningPointe Counseling Ministry at Crosspointe. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in Biblical Counseling through Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin. Kim is excited to be a part of our Pastors Wives Retreat and offers any help that she can to our ladies, compassionately turning them to God and His Word for hope and answers to life’s issues.

Selena Mulder grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as her Savior as a young child. Through many summer camps (as a camper and then a counselor) and missions trips, God led her to believe that He really wanted her to help people wherever they were at in their lives. This led her to pursuing and completing a degree in Biblical Counseling. The bonus with this degree is that her and her husband’s paths crossed as he was also studying counseling! 16 years of marriage, 4 children, and 10 years of ministry have led them to Minnesota where he is currently serving as an associate pastor while Selena stays at home with their children.

JoAnne Neiner has been a pastor’s wife for 37 years. Thirty-two years ago, she assisted her husband, Doug, in planting Cornerstone Baptist Church, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She is blessed when she has the opportunity to share her heart and her own ministry struggles with other  women whose husbands are pastors. Her greatest burden is to minister biblical hope  to faithful women in the area of spiritual encouragement, especially in times of personal crisis.

Leah Highfill is the founder of Embracing Grace and the host/visionary of the Heart-2-Heart Pastors’ Wives Retreat. She has served alongside her pastor husband for 10 years in Maritime Canada. They are currently in the fundraising stage for future church planting in South Africa. Leah leads an extensive online ministry to pastors’ wives, and is passionate about pouring the continual hope of Christ into other pastors’ wives, through the avenue of writing.

Amy Day has been married to her high school sweetheart for 25 years and is passionate about sharing what God has done in their hearts and lives as He brought their marriage from the brink of failure to a marriage of victory in Him. Although Amy and her husband live in the harsh desert of Wyoming, they find joy and contentment through loving and serving God in the place where He has put them.
